Laevaheitmete ja lastijäätmete vastuvõtt shall take place in accordance with the Ports Act, Regulation Nr. 78 ‘Organizational requirements for the delivery and receipt of ship’s waste and cargo residues and the procedure of supervision for the receipt, delivery, notification and record of ship’s waste and cargo residues’ issued by the Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications on July 29th, 2009, and the ‘Plan for the receipt and processing of ship’s waste and cargo residues’ in Tallinn Bekker Port Ltd. The handling of ship waste and cargo is arranged by the operator of the port, the handling is carried out by a company holding a corresponding handling license in the contractual agreement with the port operator. Handling of shipgenerated waste is organized as follows: waste from ships, mixed municipal waste, including food waste, plastic, oil rags, grimy plastic etc are collected in the marked containers which are located near the port gates. The reception of oil, oil products and waste containing oil, including bilge water and slush is carried out by the company holding the corresponding handling license. The shipment of such waste is ordered by the ship's agent.The order must be submitted 12 hours and specified 6 hours before the vessel arrives at the port.A copy of the order must be forwarded to the Harbor Master's Office.Contact information for the company providing the service the order form for the removal of liquid waste from the port (Annex No 5 to the Port Regulation). The master of the vessel is required to draw up and submit to the port a notice on the type and quantity of shipgenerated waste and cargo shipped to the port and retained on board. If the quantities of waste / waste actually disposed are different from the quantities entered in the notification, the notified notification must make corrections to that effect. The notification (s) and the volumes actually transmitted in the port are provided via the Electronic Marine Information System (EMDE). Before leaving the port, the master of the vessel is required to transfer all ship waste and cargo residues to the port (or to the service provider). Charges and rates for accepting shipgenerated waste are described in the port regulations and in the port's "Ship and waste reception and handling plan".

Electricity

The vessel can be connected to the shore electricity system by agreement with the Harbor Master's Service.

Drinking water

Supply of water to ships is allowed / possible by tankers. At the request of the master of the vessel, the water supplier is required to provide evidence of compliance with the quality of drinking water quality. Tankers are allowed to enter the port territory on the basis of a written notice (application) of the agent of the vessel or the master and are formalized in accordance with the requirements of the port's gate requirements. If needed, the ship's agent, the master of the ship or the shipowner will arrange for water supply. Port operator does not provide water services to ships.

Replenishment of the ship's resources

Replenishment of the ship's resources (eg shipchandler service) is allowed, informing the Harbor Master's service in advance. Transport (ship's stores) is allowed on the territory of the port on the basis of a written notice (application) of the ship's agent or captain and formalized in accordance with the requirements of the port's gate requirements. The security company has the right to carry out checks on the compliance of the incoming shipping stock with the guarantee of the inviolability of the stocks and packages. The port keeper does not provide the ship supply service.

Stevedor works
